WHITE LIGHT

this is an art trade with Ali aka perfectperfection of Satine!! ok so i originally had made this background a long time ago and put a horse in there, loved the idea but didn't have the balls to do it. i despise still water, i had tried many times to learn how to do it but i was never successful. it was the one thing i couldn't grasp and it irritated the hell out of me - so the logical solution in my eyes was to avoid it like the plague. (it's not actually a very good idea to do that, don't follow my lead lmao) i showed it to Ali and asked her if she thought it might work for Satine and she loved it. shortly after starting i realised how daunting the task i'd taken on was; a notable character that has been made by the greats of our community, and the one thing i struggle with, still water. i chickened out and started making Caelestis because lets face it, he's a handsome fucker and a half. i was making progress with him and i was suddenly overcome with this sense of guilt, because i'd gotten Ali's hopes up for the other image (despite her being ok with Cael) and decided to get my shit together and here we are. that was probably the most boring story i've ever told but yeah, TLDr: was being whiney, decided to stop being whiney.

oh also i feel intense disconnect with this image. i don't feel like it looks like my work at all, which is weird as hell. i made it, i know i made it, but i don't feel like i made it.
